Feng’s Palace Lantern Co., Ltd. was founded in July 1996 by Mr. FENG Huailin, a master of folk art in Xinjiang county, Shanxi Province.

Feng’s Palace Lantern Co., Ltd. was founded in July 1996 by Mr. FENG Huailin, a master of folk art in Xinjiang county, Shanxi Province. FENG Hualin loves exploring new things, and is diligent in practice. Under the kind care and support of leaders at all levels, the company develops from small to large, from weak to strong since its establishment more than 20 years ago. The products mainly include two series of more than 10 varieties, which are “Dragon and Phoenix Palace Lantern”, and “Jiangzhou Palace Lantern”. It has also launched antique pen holder, table screen, pendant and other crafts.

The palace lanterns are flying with colors of the spring, splendidly dazzling the new year. Palace lanterns, an ancient species, have witnessed the changes of many dynasties and recorded countless historical information along the way. Palace lanterns are special for the royal palace, among which the “Dragon Lantern” of “Dragon and Phoenix Palace Lantern” is the most representative. It has several series, such as “Jiangzhou Palace Lantern”, “Champion Lantern”, “Red Dragon Lantern”, “Four-season Peace Lantern”, “Five-Son-Winning-the-Championship Lantern” and so on. The lantern can be divided into one section, two sections, three sections, four corners, five corners, six corners, and eight corners’ lanterns. LIU Xiu, emperor Wudi of the Han Dynasty, often granted palace lanterns to those who had performed meritorious deeds and who had won the first prize in royal examinations. Palace lanterns are a symbol of identity and status. In ancient times, dignitaries, Kings and prime ministers always had one or more pairs of palace lanterns in each family, because they knew that palace lanterns could bring good luck and prosperity to their children and grandchildren. We all know that wood has a spiritual nature. In the production process, the wood is carved and polished by the artist for days or even months, which not only gives life to the lantern, but also has long been combined the spirituality of the lantern and the craftsman as one. In addition, the lantern is composed of auspicious patterns up and down, each of which contains a good moral, so the lantern will be hung at home, which will continue to release the auspiciousness and has a subtle influence on their future generations. Palace lantern is the waiting and blooming of every spring, and it is the wealth left by history to modern people. It can not only illuminate, but also has a strong decorative effect and can ward off evil of the house. Palace lanterns have a positive and far-reaching significance to people’s daily and spiritual life.  

Mr. FENG Hualin, founder of Feng’s Palace Lantern in Xinjiang County, was awarded the honorary title of “Master of Folk Art in Shanxi Province” by the Folk Literature and Art Association of Shanxi Province in June 2008. In August 2016, he was awarded “Representative Inheritor of the Municipal Intangible Cultural Heritage Project Dragon and Phoenix Palace Lantern” by Yuncheng Cultural Bureau. In July 2018, Mr. FENG Huailin’s miniature Dragon and Phoenix Lanterns won the Silver Award of “the First Industrial Products Expo Arts and Crafts Award” in Yuncheng City.
